Last week we had to make decisions about rooms for our choir tour to New York. Like last year, I was stuck, while everyone excitedly did the "Me? You? Her? and Her?" mouthing and pointing, without anyone to point with amid the swirling of whispers. All of my other friends had big plans with other people. Charlotte was rooming with Becca, Holly and Joanna again after last year's unexpected "Dream Team" was born, Hannah threw herself with her usually dramatics into the arms of Tawney and her other theater friends, and I sat there... Until someone called my name! It was Nikki, and she asked if I wanted to room with her!
...............her, Katie and Adrian, that is. I was just their necessary 4th addition. I politely declined because rooming with Adrian would literally cause me to commit suicide in the hotel bathtub.
I've started to become friends with Autumn, who is crazy and a big nerd like me, and she wasn't there the day that all happened. So I hoped against hope that she hadn't been asked by anyone. The next day in choir I asked her right away, and she said, "Oh, well, Erin asked me if I wanted to room with her because I didn't have anyone and neither did she, do you want to be with us?"
Erin is also pretty great and hilarious, I sit with her in Spanish, and so I agreed. It was then decided that Lucienne would room with us as well, because she said no one had asked her either. I am basically in love with Lucienne completely, so I was thrilled.
So now I am officially sharing a room with Autumn, Erin and Lucienne. All of us were terrified that no one would want us, and now we're all together. Even if it wasn't exactly a huge plan for us to get together, I'm super excited! I don't know any of them extremely well, so this will be a great opportunity for me to finally make some new friends. I want it to end up like the Charlotte, Becca, Holly, Joanna thing that happened last year. Not the getting in trouble for sneaking out our window in the middle of the night... Just becoming really good friends.
